TICK TICK TICKERS!

As old school as you may think they are, scrolling tickers are still a valuable asset to any business!

With your 8000 system there are different ways you can customise your tickers, from appearance to size, scrolling speed and what Tickers you want showing on what days!

Firstly to access to Ticker area, goto: MENU > DISPLAY SETTINGS > TV DISPLAY SETTINGS

Clicking on Create / Edit will bring you to an area where you can type in what information you want to display.

You can also add icons to your ticker text to help get your point across, and add line breaks to separate the different parts of your ticker tape to make for easy to read viewing.

Pusha-T Deals L’s

Toronto pop star Drake has been quiet since the release of Pusha-T’s The Story of Adidon. The ‘diss track’ was a response to Drake’s Duppy Freestyle. In The Story of Adidon, Pusha-T notably alleges that Drake fathered a son with a porn star and has kept the child a secret.

“It’s all over with,” Pusha-T told Vanity Fair. “These conversations have been had and, to my knowledge, it’s all over.”

Eminem Makes Another Bad Call

Less than a year after the horrific attack in Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas and Eminem has blast gunshot sound effects onstage at a music festival.

The rapper caused a panic among the crowd during his headlining set at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee on Friday (08Jun18) when he performed his song Kill You, off his 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP, and gunshot sounds could be heard.

J Balvin Hits Peak Vibration

J Balvin Lands Biggest Week of 2018 For a Latin Album With No. 1 Debut of ‘Vibras’. It also notches the largest streaming week ever for a Latin album by an artist.

“I feel super blessed to have another album debut #1 with Vibras,” Balvin tells Billboard. “I’m so grateful to my fans for always supporting me and for helping prove we can redefine mainstream by taking music in Spanish to new levels.”

Scroll to Control

If you truly want more control over your guest’s buying behaviour, you have to get good at scheduling and developing your scrolling message.

Get the best from your calendar and your 90 day plan! ALWAYS start with the digital channel within your four walls running well.
  • Use Google to check for days where you have no events – things like National Beer Day, National Burger Day and thousands of other official days really can pull your 90 day plan up in a big way – but so can making up your own.
  • Look at last year’s turnover and event notes to see what’s worked in the past.
  • Local movies and public events can even be used for Dine & Shine or Chicks @ the Flicks.
  • School holidays are a great place to market scrolling messages as kids love to read them.
  • LETS EAT: build great programs around food. Work around the world for a weekly food style or look at chef lead promotions, like Chef XXXs Monday Mexican night – now that would draw a crowd.
Frames help us make sales right now – in real time, but the scrolling message inside the frame can extend customer spend by offering better or more profitable add-on products. You can also drive real power to your famous items and inform with craft beer styles and info. This process can talk to your guests in so many ways.
The Scrolling Message or Ticker as it’s often known can really influence customer behaviour. But it’s important that the mechanics are driven and time coded to give our guests great options at the right time, to tell them when to come back and so much more … this valuable resource must be controlled and scheduled to get the best out of it.

Hit me back with questions if you need any direction on getting the best from this feature.
Keep the questions coming and have a great profitable month.
