21 Savage Detained By ICE

The rapper, whose real name is Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was arrested on Sunday (03 Feb 19) amid allegations he’s a U.K. national who has been living in America since 2005 without the correct paperwork. He is now being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Georgia, Atlanta, and threatened with deportation back to England, which his lawyer Charles H. Kuck argues is a “civil law violation”. Lawyers for 21 Savage have confirmed that he was born in the U.K. and has lived in Atlanta illegally since he was 8 years old.

21 Savage was preparing to release his latest album and was due to attend the Grammy awards ceremony on Sunday (10 Feb 19). He has been nominated for two awards including Record of the Year for his Post Malone collaboration, Rockstar. He has also released a new music video for his J. Cole-featuring track “a lot.” The visual, directed by Aisultan Seitov, centers around an opulent dinner but also includes flashbacks to more difficult moments in the attendees’ lives and is available on your Orange Door.

What is Wah Gwaan?!

MEDIA – PR – NEWS
If you are still finding it tough to fit that PR & digital plan into your week’s work, you are missing out on possible reviews. Lots of us do find time and gain the financial rewards. You could look to get some help from promoters around you, or just spend an hour a week with total focus on feeding your customer base and keeping you relevant.

Here are seven quick tips to get you thinking more about creating a BUZZ in your business:
  1. Understand journalists and their audience: Every newspaper, magazine, digital express news center, blog center and radio station has a target audience. Every decision a journalist makes will be driven by that audience and what it wants to read about. Appeal to the audience and you appeal to the journalist.
  2. Understand your digital formats: If you look at digital with a new set of eyes, think how much material is needed on digital news publications – just for that cellphone front page – daily traffic on a weekly basis – the flood of information that is across thousands of articles an hour could be your next traffic driver!
  3. Start an ideas section: Record every single idea you have, no matter how bad you think it is. Occasionally two or three bad ideas combined can produce a good idea! And emptying your mind of ideas regularly leaves space for new ones to form. You should also brainstorm regularly.
  4. Borrow ideas from businesses in other industries: Look through your target media – what stories do non-competing businesses in other industries seem to get regularly? How can those ideas be adapted to your business?
  5. Ask people outside your business for ideas: Particularly people that know you well, such as people you trust in networking groups or online forums – we often forget to ask.
  6. Ring a journalist and ask: Catch the right journalist at the right time (not on their deadline) and they might spend a few minutes chatting with you about your business, and what story ideas there may be within it. Remember if you come up with good story ideas, it will actually make their job of finding stories easier. Everyone wins.
  7. Your own footprint needs feeding: Your own Web sites, Facebook, Twitter and digital mediums ALL need feeding with regular information and exciting news – your own PR needs food…how many of you have not changed your Facebook or web site in ages?
Every day you see business owners using good PR to drive brands and make them more relevant… so the big question are you!
Keep the questions coming and have a great profitable month.
